The company has four subsidiaries including Yantai Spring Food Co., Ltd., Yantai Zhongquan Food Co., Ltd., Longkou Quanyuan Fruit Trade Co., Ltd., and Qixia Renhe Fruit and Vegetable Co., Ltd., and organized and established Qixia Quanyuan Apple Specialized Cooperatives and Qixia Huaye Fruit Specialized Cooperatives.
The company is located in Qixia City, Shandong Province, known as “Apple Capital of China”. Established in 2003, it is an integrated enterprise specializing in planting of fruit trees, and the purchase, storage, processing and sales of fruit and vegetable, with a total investment of 150 million yuan and a registered capital of 30 million yuan. The company has built a 20,000-ton gas-adjusted fresh-preserved storehouse and a 15,000-ton cold-blast fresh-preserved storehouse, with a storage capacity of 35,000 tons. With the advanced equipment imported from Germany, Italy and other countries, the fruit and vegetable storage technology has reached the international advanced level.
In the past few years, the company has made impressive achievements. It was rated as “Municipal Contract-honoring and Promising-keeping Enterprise” by Yantai Administration for Industry and Commerce and Yantai Enterprise Credit Association in 2007. “Quanyuan” Fuji apple was given the titles of “Gold Award of China High Quality Apple” and “China Famous Apple Brand” by China Fruit Marketing Association in October 2007. And it has won the title of “Top 100 Leading Enterprises in Yantai Agricultural Industrialization” awarded by Yantai Municipal People's Government for successive years since July 2007. In 2009, “Quanyuan” won the title of “Shandong Famous Trademark”. In 2010, the company was rated as one of the “Leading Enterprises for Agriculture Industrialization” by Shandong provincial government. In the same year, it was also rated as provincial “Contract-honoring and Promising-keeping Enterprise” by Administration for Industry and Commerce of Shandong Province. The company was listed among “Internationally Known Brands Fostered and Developed with Priority by Shandong Province” in 2012. The company passed the certifications of ISO9001 Quality Management System and HACCP Food Safety Control System in 2004. In 2006, its orchard production base got the international certification of EUREPGAP. In 2007, the company got the “Green Food Certification” issued by the China Green Food Development Center. In 2008, the orchard production base got GLOBALGAP certification. In 2008, the company obtained the export qualification of Canada. In 2010, recommended by Qixia and Yantai governments, “Yantai” branded high-grade Fuji apples became the special gift during the Shangdong Week of Shanghai World Expo. In 2011, the company became the pilot base of National Apple Engineering Research Center for Postharvest Technology.
With the continuous expansion of business scale, relying on superior geographical conditions and resource advantages, the company develops towards the direction of fruit and vegetable processing. In 2008, the company bought a 100mu land in Qixia Development Zone and built 10,000m2 high-standard workshops to work with Jinan Fruit Research Institute All China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives for the depth development of apple crisp, applesauce, apple powder, apple health care products and other snack foods, as well as highly processed products of vegetables. A variety of procedures and documents have been completed until now, and the workshop has entered the formal stage of production, which greatly improves the added value of fruit, enhances local economic performance and promotes social employment.
Quanyuan Fruit Deep Processing Project has been included into National “Spark” Plan Projects and National 12th Five-Year Plan Science-technology Support Plan Projects successively.
Based on strengthening food security, improving economic efficiency, reducing production costs, promoting rural surplus labor employment and leading farmers to get rich, the company gives full play to the network and vigorously strengthens information construction. In 2011, the company cooperated with the National Engineering Research Center for Agricultural Products Logistics and created a “Traceability System Based on Internet of Things” to initially explore and establish a new model of information management and services of “Internet of Things” with “ERP system” and “traceability system” as the carriers.
